Description
Wild Flower Honey
Real honey is produced by honeybees using the nectar from various types of flowers. Sugar-rich nectar produced by plants is harvested by honeybees who through an enzymatic process in their gut, convert this nectar into honey which they regurgitate into comb cells. Real honey has been used for centuries for its healing and health properties.
We use 100% pure unprocessed Canadian honey in all of our NutraBee products.

Buckwheat Honey
Despite the name, buckwheat is not a cereal grain, but the seed of Fagopyrum esculentum, a plant related to sorrels and rhubarb.
Planted as a second crop or in cooler climates, a short growing season makes buckwheat the predominant flora available to bees for nectar collection. The honey produced from buckwheat is dark, amber-coloured, and rich in antioxidants.
Buckwheat contains rutin which strengthens capillary
walls and magnesium, helping blood vessels relax and decreasing blood pressure, so the herb is traditionally used to improve circulation and heart health. Recent research has focused on the antioxidant benefits of buckwheat honey to cardiovascular health.
The dark, amber-coloured buckwheat honey in Bee Heart Healthy is a 100% pure unprocessed Canadian honey.

Honey Comb
In the hive, honeybees are constantly at work. Before they can produce honey, bee pollen or royal jelly, the bees must construct a honey comb in which to store these products. With amazing precision, worker bees form six-sided honey comb cells from wax they secrete from glands. When the cells are complete, the bees gather pollen from local blooms and turn it into honey, storing it in the honey comb cells.
Honey comb contains all the vitamins and minerals found in honey.
Straight from the hive, NutraBee Raw Honey Comb contains all the vitamins and minerals found in honey. No additives or preservatives in this honey comb. Produced by Canadian bees from nectar gathered in pesticide-free Canadian fields and forests. Take a spoon, dig in and enjoy this 100% pure unprocessed Canadian honey.

Bee Pollen
Bee pollen is created from flower pollen bees bring back to the hive.
Mixed with nectar and enzymes secreted by worker bees who pack the pollen granules into comb cells, these granules, known as bee pollen or bee bread, are the primary source of protein for bees. Bee pollen varies in composition depending on the floral pollen collected.
The benefits of bee pollen are many.
Traditional uses include natural allergy relief, for building stamina, strength and endurance in athletes, as an immune system booster, for gastrointestinal problems and as a natural anti inflammatory.
Bee pollen used in NutraBee’s Buzz Off and Bee Active is harvested from hives at a Canadian apiary located in a pollution-free environment.

Black Seed
Nigella sativa or Black Seed herb is a flowering herb native to the Middle East and southwest Asia. The seeds of the fruit are used as a spice, in confectionery, in food, and in liquors. Also known as Black Cumin, Kalonji, Habbat Al-Barakah or Seed of Blessing, in the traditional healing systems of the region, Black Seed is used as a natural anti inflammatory, as a digestive aid, and for parasitic infections.
The immune system boosting properties of Black Seed was noted in (Ibn Sina) Avicenna’s 1025 A.D. Canon of Medicine, who used the seed for stimulating the body's energy and speed recovery from fatigue. Black Seed contains over 100 chemical compounds, and studies reveal the fighting disease ability of some of these compounds which boost production of bone marrow, natural interferon and immune cell production.
NutraBee uses only certified-organic whole Black Seed in Immuno Bee.

Royal Jelly
Royal jelly is a creamy white honeybee secretion that is fed exclusively to queen larva and adult queen bees throughout their life cycle. Nutrient-rich, royal jelly contains B-complex and C vitamins, and a broad spectrum of amino acids, trace minerals, proteins, sugars, essential fatty acids and enzymes.
Royal jelly is traditionally used in anti-aging and memory supplements, and elixirs. Topical uses include skin care cream for wound healing, and in body care products such as honey soaps, facial honey masks and body creams. Also used as a natural, healthy sweetener in food and beverages.
Fresh royal jelly is difficult to find, as without refrigeration and careful processing, the nutrient value of royal jelly degrades within 48 hours after harvest. Only pure fresh royal jelly is used in NutraBee’s Bee Beautiful.

Propolis
Propolis is a dark brown resinous mixture collected from tree sap and flower resin by bees. Trees exude sap to defend against bacteria, fungi and insects; evergreen sap being particularly potent. Usually dark brown in colour, bees use propolis to prevent disease, bacterial growth and parasites. Typically, propolis from northern forests and fields contain over 50 compounds, including resins, vegetable balsams, waxes, essential oils and pollen.
Traditionally, propolis has been used for cold relief and as a natural sore throat treatment. Other uses include allergy relief, as a canker sore treatment, for preventing dental caries, for soothing skin burns and in wound healing. Before penicillin, propolis, also called Russian Penicillin, was widely used as a natural antimicrobial to fight bacterial, fungal and viral infections such as colds and influenza.
Propolis used in Bee Guard is collected by bees from over 250 wildflowers and trees and harvested from hives located in a pesticide-free Canadian environment.

Ginger
Ginger is an herb that is used as a spice and also for its therapeutic qualities. The underground stem (rhizome) can be used fresh, powdered, dried, or as an oil or juice. Ginger is part of the Zingiberaceae family.
Using ginger for natural intestinal relief from indigestion and nausea has been used for centuries. It can sooth a nauseated stomach by providing relief from bloating and gas pain while calming acid indigestion by facilitating the flow of bile from the gall bladder. Ginger also stimulates the circulatory system and increases blood flow, getting oxygen into tissues to help boost low energy.
The ginger used in His & Hers Honey is certified-organic (USDA and OPCC/Pro Cert. Canada).

Fennel
A perennial herb with yellow flowers and feathery leaves, fennel is native to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, but it grows in dry soils in many parts of the world. Fennel seeds contain chemicals, such as anethole, camphor, quercetin and polymers, that act as plant estrogens. Nutrients in fennel seeds include amino acids, calcium, choline, essential fatty acids, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and vitamins C and E.
The fennel used in Bee Active is certified-organic (USDA and OPCC/Pro Cert. Canada).

Ceylon Cinnamon
A tropical evergreen tree, Ceylon Cinnamon or Cinnamomum verum, also known as the True Cinnamon, differs in texture, taste and aroma from the widely used Chinese cinnamon or cassia. Harvested from shoots, the tougher outer bark is scrapped off, leaving the softer, lighter-coloured, sweeter-tasting inner bark. The bark is dried and rolled into quills, or can be easily ground into powder or further processed to extract the volatile oils.
Ceylon Cinnamon bark has been traditionally used in oriental warming tonics to improve blood circulation, complexion and memory, and for nervous tension. Cinnamon is used by western herbalists as a natural anti inflammatory (for bone and joint health), for gastrointestinal problems, for respiratory ailments due to colds and flu, and in dental hygiene products.
The Ceylon Cinnamon used in Bee Strong is certified-organic
(USDA and OPCC/Pro Cert. Canada), free from pesticides, and is processed from bark that has not been irradiate or fumigated.

Echinacea
Echinacea is a Native American medicinal herb found in the United States and the southern regions of Canada. Though there are nine known species of this plant, Echinacea purpurea is the most potent and commonly used form, according to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
Echinacea purpurea may help to prevent and treat colds and upper respiratory infections, urinary tract infections and slow-healing wounds and strengthen the immune system. Evidence is conflicting, but it is stronger for treating colds and upper respiratory infections than for preventing them, according to the Mayo Clinic.
The Echinacea used in Bee Active is certified-organic
(USDA and OPCC/Pro Cert. Canada).
